Monday - Friday at 11:30 am Saturday and Sunday at 12:30 pm Springwell administers the federally funded Congregate Lunch Program. A $1.75 donation is requested. Call 617-923-2769 one day in advance between 9:00 am and 10:30 am, Monday - Friday to reserve. Call by 12:30 pm on Thursday for a weekend reservation. |

Watertown seniors needing transportation to medical appointments may contact Busy Bee Transportation at 1-800-427-0230 for a ride. Medical transportation is available Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and reservations must be made at least three days in advance. A donation of $3.00 each way for local transportation (inside Watertown or Cambridge,) and $4.00 each way for transportation to appointments outside of Watertown or Cambridge is requested. |

For seniors who live alone and cannot prepare food for themselves, Meals on Wheels can be a godsend. Friendly volunteers deliver meals and often can provide some social stimulation in an otherwise lonely day. Recipients must be at least 60 years old. Services can be for a short period, such as recovery from surgery, or for an indefinite period. Meals are federally subsidized under the Older Americans Act. Springwell's Meals on Wheels coverage area is Belmont, Brookline, Newton, Watertown, Wellesley, and Weston. |
