Caring Companion Home Care: Our Story

Don Reynolds founded a family business in 1992 that has produced three home care agencies serving thousands of clients in six states.

In 1992 Don Reynolds, a former minister, started a family business at his home in Florida caring for senior citizens in their homes. Over the next 20 years, all three of his children started agencies serving thousands of clients in six states — each with the same goal: to improve the quality of life of elders who want to live in the comfort of their own homes, and to give them as much independence and privacy as possible.

Caring Companion Home Care, Inc, was launched in Concord Massachusetts by Jim Reynolds in 2008.  CCHC has continued the family's reputation of compassionate, high quality care, and has proven itself as an innovator in using technology to improve communications and health outcomes for its clients.

In 2012, AHC also opened American In-Home Care, a nurse registry for clients who need help with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and hands-on personal care services, American In-Home Care offers Home Health Aides (HHA) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) as a quality in-home care alternative to an assisted living facility, nursing home or cost-prohibitive private nurses.

Natalie Reynolds Schneider, a Registered Nurse and certified Geriatric Care Manager, founded American Companion Care in 2001. ACC quickly established a reputation as Kansas City's most responsive and dependable home health care agency, and served Kansas and Missouri for more than a decade. In 2013, Senior Bridge purchased ACC, which by that time had a client census over 100 clients and revenues between $2 million and $3 million.
