Minuteman Senior Services is an Aging Services Access Point (ASAP) serving communities in the MetroWest Boston area. ASAPs operate under a state contract to coordinate and deliver a wide range of services to senior citizens in their regions.

Social Services include transportation, housing counseling, handyman services, support groups, individual counseling and information and referral. The COA also sponsors a nutrition site at the Center. The COA is responsible for Community Service Reimbursement Program, which offers property tax relief for seniors. In addition, the Council sponsors many educational programs regarding senior entitlements and other issues of importance to seniors.

For seniors who live alone and cannot prepare food for themselves, Meals on Wheels can be a godsend. Friendly volunteers deliver meals and often can provide some social stimulation in an otherwise lonely day. Recipients must be at least 60 years old. Services can be for a short period, such as recovery from surgery, or for an indefinite period. Meals are federally subsidized under the Older Americans Act.
